Annie Eser, founder
Annie Eser is the founder of Steel Toe Technologies and its AI development studio, Steel Toe Studio. An AI product architect and systems operator, she has spent her career building and deploying multi-modal AI — computer vision, LLMs, and regulatory systems — in highly regulated environments across construction, energy, manufacturing, and the public sector. She is also Co-Founder and CEO of Thalos, Steel Toe’s AI workplace-safety platform, and has designed AI governance and compliance frameworks under the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and U.S. standards. Across multiple companies she has raised capital from pre-seed through Series B and led product, engineering, and go-to-market strategy. She started Steel Toe Studio on a simple conviction: organizations should own the AI software they run — fixed price, full source, governed to run safely — not rent it forever.
